West Carleton Animal Hospital

I was helping out a family member by taking a pup in to get his cast off. Some of the reception staff was less than friendly. End of the day it was very busy and a lot of clients coming and going so checking in while keeping animals apart and calm was a challenge, so to be greeted as though we were not following protocol was unnecessary. Vet care was good, thorough and courteous, which is the most important part.

It's a sad day when you attempt to set up an appointment for a very sick cat who's family has taken generations of pets to this veterinarian, only to be told- sorry, we're simply too busy. Side note- I've spent a minimum of $300 trying to diagnose my cats condition, to no avail. They simply do not care. Marc, I'm truly dissapointed.

This place is like a 5 star medical center for your pets! The Vets and staff are great and very patient! Sky is happy each time she goes for her appointments Sky's vet gives her treats and gives her tips to boot just an all around great place to take your pets for treatment or for emergencies! Their prices are fair and give you full service without hesitation! I recommend West Carleton Animal Hospital! Thank you! Sky :)

Dr. Mark is amazing with our dog. Unlike a lot of vets he doesn't overcharge or exploit how much you adore your furry family member. Sadly we have been recommended unnecessary surgeries for our dogs at other vets in Ottawa which is why I will never bring them anywhere else ever again. For once I'm not terrified of the bill at the end. Also we are never rushed they always have time for my questions and Dr. Mark is prompt and doesn't leave you waiting. We live in the east end and are happy to drive 40 minutes for such great care! Would recommend to anyone. Especially great with our very big rambunctious dogs.

Absolutely one of the best Veterinary services in the area.. Very honest and caring and they are not taking advantage of people financially. Their charges are more than fare for what they provide. Dr. Mark is one of the finest and most caring vets anyone could ask for and he loves all the animals and is a very easy going person to deal with. We couldn’t be happier with the services they have provided to us over the years. We have been taking our 3 dogs there for more than 10 years and feel lucky to have them as our vets.I know this might sound a lot like pumping but I think they deserve this kind of praise and if your lucky enough to be accepted there as a patient as I’m sure they are full you and your pet will be treated the same with care and respect! Disclaimer I do not know anyone at the clinic personally and only as a patient over the years! Thank you WCAH !!!

My boy Sekekama had a sore on his head. Thankfully, West Carleton Animal Hospital was able to see him. The friendly staff and Veterinarian explained to me that he had developed a bacterial infection and prescribed him antibiotics that fixed him up nicely. Thank you for taking good care of my boy! - The first photo was before I realized there was anything wrong. - I booked the Vet appointment a couple days after (well before it began looking as bad as it does in the second photo). - The second photo was about one week after the first photo, and thankfully - was also the day I was contacted about the Vet having an opening - and brought him in. They couldn't say for certain what caused the infection, but he's on day 10 (of 14) for his course of antibiotics and is almost all healed up now. Thank you again!
